Verizon Enlarges Remote DVR Programming to Most Phones

Today, Verizon announced a new tool to enable subscribers to manage its FiOS fiber-optic television in the media of DVR.  The service enables customers to remotely review, change or add recording requests, delete recorded programs, browse and search TV and video-on-demand listings, and set parental controls from wireless handsets. Most phones with mobile browsers and data plans can access the DVR site and interact with their DVRs as the service is accessed via the mobile Web. But  users must subscribe to the FiOS TV Home Media DVR.

Verzion LG Versa VS LG Dare reviews

The Verizon lg versa and verizon LG Dare are  two hottest full-touchscreen phones in current. But sometimes  lg dare’s screen is not that resposive, and screen for lg vers is  very resposive but with small screen.  In addtion, they comes with two kinds of different style. The vers phone  is lequiped with a  detachabe keyboard , while the dare offers a Qwerty keypad. Frankly, I prefer the lg dare’s style of keypad, maybe as I ‘am a conservative. But really, i don’t like LG Versa’s detachable keyboard, I think it is impedimenta.

Verizon lg versa tricks- Delete Factory Wallpapers

The factory installed wallpapers on Verizon lg versa phone are protected from deletion, so if you want to delete them, you have to master some tricks,  Follow all the space below: Verizon lg versa phone info

1. buy a microSD card, and then store files(pictures, videos ,ect) on there

Note: the microSD card run anywhere from $5-$50 but you can get a nice 2GB one online for under 10 bucks.

2. Install the bitpim[download]

Note: Make sure you get the 1.07 version…thats the one with versa support. Verizon Phone Problems and solutions

3. access the filesystem in bitpim.and then manually delete them..

Verizon’s First Set of LTE Specs for Hardware Vendors Available

Verizon has released the first set of specs for device manufacturers as part of itswishing to build devices for Verizon‘s future Long Term Evolution network. The specs offers guidelines for both access and data transport for LTE devices. Verizon said that it will host a web conference on May 13 to discuss the specifications in more detail. The company plans a commercial roll-out of LTE starting in 2010. The LTE network will use Verizon’s 700MHz spectrum, and be used to connect a wide range of devices to wireless data services. Verizon Says the chances of an iPhone more likely with advent of 4G

Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg said that the chances of Apple producing an iPhone model for his network increase greatly with the imminent arrival of Big Red’s 4G network. And the CEO also  explained to the Wall Street Journal on Thursday that Apple is ‘more likely’ to want to work with Verizon due to the wider distribution of the 4G standard it will use to supplement, and eventually replace, its 3G network.

According to Seidenberg, Apple was never likely to create an iPhone suitable for Verizon’s existing network simply because its choice of the CDMA standard for phone calls limited what could be done. While CDMA and its matching EVDO data format are very popular among carriers in North America and are shared with Alltel, Bell, Sprint and Telus (among others), the standards have very little reach outside of the continent. Choosing CDMA may have forced Apple to make a second iPhone model just to accommodate the rest of the world, which has settled on the more popular GSM and HSPA protocols. Verizon Phone News (more…)
