We had heard there would be a software update for verizon android phone - motorola Droid two days ago. But this was not official. Now it’s official, Verizon today announces it has began to send a software update for the Droid android phone over the air. The new software AP:ESD56/BP:C_01.3E.01P update offers numerous improvements, including:

FCC recently has approved one android phone named Saygus VPhone V1, and it is rumored the VPhone V1 may be heading to verizon as its third android phone( the previous two models - Motorola droid and htc droid Eris have been on sale now). Of course we guess is not without any groundless, besides knowing the device wiht EVDO Rev A , we also learn that it is confirmed on Saygus’ own website as the first android phone to be approved via Verizon’s own Open Development Program.

The two new android phone – Motorola DROID and HTC DROID Eris now are fianlly on sale via verizon stores as anticipated. Well, now the android lovers can freely choose any of them.

Now it’s official, verizon has just introduced the release date and price for the new android phone -HTC Droid Eris.
As rumored, Verizon will sell the Droid Eris for 99.99 on two year agreemnets after a $100 mail-in rebate starting November 6, the same day when the more expensive Motorola Droid becomes available.

Verizon today fianlly introduces the long-awaited android phone for us, which is just the Htc hero that sprint has released it in US, now we learn it will also hitVerizon on November 6th, renamed the Droid Eris and priced at $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement on a voice plan with an e-mail feature or e-mail plan.

In all of the reviews for verizon motorola Droid so far, be it PA, Engadget, etc..I see a lot of nickpicking…ugly, KB cramped, you could say the same things about all of the phones…I think that is a matter of choice….the user reviews are practical and most important, so here I offer one space for Motorola droid phone users to express their views on their devices .If you have gotten the android phone from Verizon, tell us how do you think of it?

Exciting news for Motorola Droid lovers, Verizon today announces some of its stores will open their doors as early as 7 am to deal with the long-awaited android 2.0 phone - Motorola Droid on Friday, just November 6, but others will still at 8am as usual. The means is obvious, it ’s not all stores will open early and customers are encouraged to call their local retail locations ahead of time.

Which verizon android phone is better, the motorola Droid or HTC Droid Eris ? After playing with both the Droid and the droid Eris at work, here are my reviews about them.
Firstly, the Eris’s design wise it is great. It feels good in your hand and I prefer the touch sensitive navigation buttons on this phone much better compared to the Droid. The screen is a little small but still looks great. The web browser is fast(not as fast as the droid) but it DO have multi touch pinch zooESm in and out gestures. On the main screen, I noticed very minimal to no lag. Granted I only used a few applications and had a couple widgets, but it was very much a smooth experience navigating through the home screens. Streaming youtube video quality was very good. Trackball is nice, very reminiscent of a blackberry and I like that!
