Verizon now is working hard to solve the HTC DROID Eris Weather widget issue

Good news for Verizon Droid Eris owners, now Verizon is working hard to fix the Weather widget issue that appears in HTC Droid Eris Android 2.1 update. I’m very happy to hear this, as Verizon finally sets out to solve the proble, so we’ll get a perfect software update for the Droid Eris. However, sadly, Verizon tech doesn’t attention the other issues that exits in the update, such as the Speed Dial issue, No HTC clock widget Issue. It is said beacause there is no well-documented enough to warrant the problems.

Verizon will move up ‘MobiTV’ to HTC Dorid Incredible and Droid Eris Android phone this summer

Though it’s not official, it’s indeed exciting, recetently we hear that the Verizon’s MobiTV, which allows devices to watchvideos and shows thanks to V-Cast and pre-installed in Verizon‘s previous feature phones but forbited to be used on recent-lanuched Android devices, now it is is moving up tp Android phones for Verizon – HTC Droid Incredible and Droid Eris this summer .

Solution:Verizon HTC Droid Eris Calendar force close and Sync Problem

It seems that the Calendar issues always exits in the HTC Droid Eris for Verizon, which is when the Doid Eris works on Android 1.5 OS, the Calendar function force closes 5 – 6 times dail, it is a minor inconvienence. In addtion, sometimes the calendar won’t even sync, this  is so frustrating. As for thees problems, there have been only one solution so far,  th steps are listed in below:

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and find Calendar in the list. Tap on it and select Clear Data.

How to fix the Speed Dial issue on Verizon HTC Droid Eris after getting Android 2.1 Update

As for the unable to set Speed Dial problem with Verizon HTC Droid Eris after getting Android 2.1 Update, there are solutions for it so far, including: Verizon Phone Problems and solutions

Method 1

do a factory reset (Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Reset), which is verizon’s recommended solution.

Methos 2

This  is a very Easy fix and a Reset is not neede, all you have to do is clear the app data for the following items:

setings>Applications>Manage Applications >Dialer Verizon HTC Droid Eris Info

setings>Applications>Manage Applications >Contacts Storage

But please note this Should have you up an running.

How to fix Weather App Not Working issue for Verizon HTC DROID Eris Android 2.1 update

I’m a little disappointed , I have met two issues Since I update my Verizon HTC Droid Eris OS to Android 2.1, one the
No HTC clock widget Issue that I have just solved it, the other is the Weather App Not Working issue, however, It seems that this is a serious problem, I nearly have tried all the ways to fix it, but sasly, I can’t figure it out.

After I upgrade my HTC Droid Eris for Verizon to Android 2.1 OS, there is one issue appears on my Verizon Droid Eris, which is I can’t find the HTC clock widget on my mobile’s screen, the only widgets are battery, notes, tip calculator, notes and ringtone.
