The Droid Bionic has 5 home screens,  swipe left and right to see the homescreens.  The dock contains your launcher and three other icons for your most used apps and features. You can tap the launcher icon to see all the apps. Tap and hold  to customize the docked icons.  The notification panel lets you see what email and calls are new.  To dismiss a notification tap the red icon.  To clear, tap clear.

1.  Tap ZumoCast app>chose next>sign-in & create an account
2. Then from your computer download and install Zumocast for either Mac or PC.
3. Then sign in. You can choose which files or videos you want to share with the Droid Bionic.
4. From the Droid Bionic select okay,The files will be automatically streamed to the Droid Bionic.

• Root the device
• Navigate to /system/etc/motorola/com.motorola.blur.service.blur/ in a root file explorer [ie. Root Explorer]
• Edit data_wifi_only_settings.mkitso. Replace “data_wifi_only_feat_avail=1″ with “data_wifi_only_feat_avail=0″
• Edit defaults.xml. Replace the entire file contents with:

• If it says “Update Available,” let the update download. Do not install the update, because it could potentially brick your device.
• Pull the update.zip file from /cache [Root Explorer or ADB] and upload/post the file for developer interest
• Continue to test the next server. Navigate to /system/etc/motorola/com.motorola.blur.service.blur
• Mount the folder as read/write
• Edit defaults.xml. Remove “master-lab.blurdev.com” and put in the URL for the next server.

Rooting or unrooting Motorola Droid Bionic for Windows computers
Download:   One root keys tools – PetesMotorolaRootTools_v1.06.zip
How to Root Droid Bionic :
1. Make sure you have Motorola drivers installed – Motorola Drivers 32bit Motorola Drivers 64bit
2. Download the PetesMotorolaRootTools v1.05.zip file and unzip it to your Windows PC.
3. On your phone go into Settings>Applications>Development and check the box for USB Debugging.
4. Plug phone into your computer and select “Charge Only” mode.
5. Navigate to PetesMotorolaRootTools v1.05 folder and run Pete’s Motorola Root Tools.exe.
6. Follow the instructions in the command window.
7. Your phone will complete 3 steps, rebooting along the way. When it finishes, you will be rooted.

1. Make sure the Motorola drivers are still installed.
2. Make sure USB Debugging is still selected.
3. Connect your Bionic to your computer.
4. Run the Pete’s Motorola Root Tools.exe.

6. Your phone will reboot 3-4 times as the program goes through all 4 steps in the process.

Rooting or unrooting Motorola Droid Bionic For Linux and OSX CAN NOT UNROOT ON LINUX:
Note: This has been tested on Linux and OSX(also confirmed on Ubuntu 11.04), Instructions should be the same as the Windows version above.

How to root droid bionic:

1. Download and Fully Unzip ‘Droid Easy Root V7D.zip’ – Droid Easy Root V7D
2. On your phone: Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging(check box)
3. Plug phone into computer and select “Charge Only” mode
4. Navigate to wherever you extracted it and run the file
5. Now just follow the instructions in the command window and unlock the phone after each reboot.

How to unroot droid bionic if you have gotten the rooted Droid bionic:

Download tools: PetesMotorolaRootTools_v1.06.zip

1. Download the Android SDK make sure you get the .zip
2.Extract the .zip to your local drive (hard drive or C: drive)
3. Download and install the Motorola drives (should have them if you rooted before)
4. You need to update the SDK in order to get the ADB files. Go to your local drive and find a file named androidsdk. In this folder you should see SDK manager. Run this and it will start by Refreshing Sources. When this is done it gives you an option to install packages. The only package we need for ADB is called “Android SDK Platform-tools, revision 6″ install this. When it is done you can close everything.
5. Put phone into USB Debugging
6. Open Command Prompt and type to make sure your device is found
cd\
cd androidsdk\platform-tools
adb devices
it should show a device if it is working
7. We are now going to run ADB shell
cd\
cd androidsdk\platform-tools
adb shell
you should now see shell@cdma_targa:/$ you might have a different name but it should end in $
8. type this command in the ADB shell
rm /data/local/root/local.prop
9. type exit until the window closes
10. Using Petes tool you can now root your Bionic.

Requirements needed to ensure a successful upgrade.

1. A fully charged Motorola Droid X2 with MOTOBLUR with an active SIM card
2. A microSD card installed in your phone with approximately 200 MB of free space.
3. Your phone is on the latest Android 2.2 software 
   
4. To ensure optimal performance after the upgrade, the phone software must not have been modified in any way.

Steps 1: To change the phone as USB mass storage mode

3. Your phone will beep (normal mode).

1. First download LaucherPro from the market
2. After it installs click the home button and it will take you to LauncherPro
3. Long press somewhere on the screen, and select ‘Shortcuts’

15. Follow the steps above to get to the ‘Activities’ screen and select ‘Homescreen’
16. Now to use the blur launcher on LauncherPro just select the second option ‘com.motorola.blur.apps.AppsActivity’
17. Click for the default name and icon, unless you want to change, and BAM you can now use LauncherPro with the default Blur App drawer.
18. One thing I have noticed is that by default it always seems to go to the recent apps category for the blur launcher, so just select in the top right corner and pick to show all apps.

Note: Remember to put the profile switcher shortcut on every profile before uninstalling Launcherpro.

How frustrating! Therefore I go to Verizon stores to ask for help. They tell me to  try a factory reset or wipe the data on my droid 3 phone, and I’m aslo told that when entering  my Google credentials don’t sync the phone with my account for apps. Especially, one tech support help me to config menu on my phone. Then I do as what they have said, really, the random rebooting or crashing  problem no long appears on my droid 3 phone. However, three days later, the same issue arrive again. It appears this is due to android 2.3 OS problem, hopfully Verizon and Motorola will offer a update to solve the droid 3′s rebooting or crashing problems as soon as possibe.
