Verizon Htc Droid Eris also receiving an OTA update

As the Motorola Droid, the Htc Droid Eris for Verizon also reveives an system update in small batches via an over-the-air. The update brings some fixs and improvements for the verizon droid eris, including:

_ better SMS/MMS compatibility with other devices

_ the on-screen mute and speakerphone keys are improved

_ quicker call ending with two presses of the end key

_ smoother activation

_  several other minor bugs are fixed

Verizon BlackBerry phones Firmware update – BlackBerry OS 5.0 Download

Rim should has release a new firmware update -BlackBerry OS 5.0 for the current blackberry phones last sunday , including verizon’s blackberry Pearl Flip 8220/8230, Curve 8330/8350i/8900, Storm 9500/9530 and Tour 9630.

This particular upgrade will resolve a lot of the current issues plaguing the Storm, such as:

  • Improved browser
  • Flick scrolling
  • Threaded texting
  • Loads apps faster

Verizon Blackberry Storm New App – YouTube Now Available

After lauching the Slacker and Facebook for blackberry storm, verizon should strike while the iron was hot to lauch new apps for its storm phones, but it seems that verizon hasn’t any action. While actually, verizon now is silently pushing the YouTube app to the device. The YouTube app icon has been sent out to be available on Storm users phoness  for now, and will be effective for a while. If you haven’t seen it yet you will after a reboot. Verizon Htc Ozone Custom ROMs Update Download

Recently a new unlocker Custom ROMs Update for verizon’s Htc Ozone was available in xda-developers, Created by jockyw2001. It is said the the update works  fine on the HTC Cedar platform (Ozone).Thanks for jockyw2001’s sharing.

Note: The update will not work on the HTC Maple platform (Dash3G). Running this sspl on a Dash3G will definitely brick it. Also the HTC Willow platform (SNAP S511, Sprint) is not supported. For the Dash3G I have already developed a sspl/hardspl. Users of the S511 have to wait until I feel motivated.
