Droid is the brand name for Verizon Android Phones, not just a device

According to engadget, it is said the Droid is just  the brand name for Verizon Android device, but it is not a single phone. As we know, the Droid Series including: Verizon Android phones info

* Motorola Sholes -  Verizon’s fors android phone we had been calling  it as Droid so far .
* HTC Desire will be on sale as the “Droid Eris.”   on November 6.
