Subscribe Feed (RSS)I have gotten the new Android phone- HTC Droid Incredible from Verizon wireless, so I don’t have much views on it. But engadget and BGR bring some deepth reviews for the Droid Incredible, I sum up several points, now share them here with everyone.
In design of looks, the HTC Droid Incredible is very pretty awesome, it is a delicious slab of a touchscreen plus touch sensitive keys and an optical directional pad, the same as the most HTC phones. WHile I’m definitely not a fan of the back. but I’m not feeling it. But hey, it might be targeting other people. Verizon Phone Reviews
If you throw out the subjective rating of Design which has zero impact on the functionality, this is a pretty lofty rating for a phone. I really don’t see how the EVO will raise the bar THAT much. You trade screen size for brilliance with the EVO. Beyond that, the EVO really only differentiates on niche features: mini-HDMI and mobile hotspot. Speaking of niche, the 4G ability of the EVO will appeal to only a small pct of the country being that WiMax is not widely available, not at all in some major markets like NYC. For those that are lucky to be in those select markets, 4G will be great. But if you don’t have that luxury, well the EVO is just a 3G phone and with that, the coverage map tells the story: huge advantage Incredible and Verizon.
This makes me even more excited for the HTC EVO 4G on Sprint which is getting a little more time to work out any issues. I can’t wait for the hottest phone of the first half of 2010! I’d also swap a 5 MP camera for the 8 MP if they could remove that Verizon logo. I hate seeing their branding on the top of my phone. Verizon HTC Droid Incredible info
Though I’ll still probably get it just because it is the best android phone right now. However, I’m also concerned about battery life as HTC devices aren’t known for having good power management. Especially considering the battery is the same that is used in the Eris and there are threads upon threads about horrible battery life on the Eris over at Androidforums.
