Verizon HTC Droid Eris confirmedly to get software update

Finally, Verizon today officially announces that HTC now is offering the software update – android 2.1 for HTC Droid Eris phone. The update is coming thanks to an Over the Air (OTA) update, and it’s being sent out in the customary fashion: slowly. According to Verizon’s official Twitter support page, it will take up to 13 days for all of the Eris owners out there to get their update. Your phone will automatically tell you when there’s an update available, and you’ll just have to follow the on-screen instructions. If you get the update, let us know what you think of it.
