I believe there are many customers has the same question, which phone is better , the Verizon Lg Env Touch or Blackberry Storm. Here i connected several reference answers, hope they are useful for you. Verizon Lg Env Touch Info

Reference answers: It depends on how important as fast you want to surf the web and do email. The storm is on 3g speeds and has what they call push email. which sends your emails instant. Also the storm allows you to open any attachments via email the env3 will not. the storm requires a $30 data plan and the env3 does not. Yet if you do want to do email and web on the env3 you will pay around $20 for the vcast (internet) and $5 for the mobile email program. Verizon Phone Reviews

  1. Coming from an LG Voyager, I have now tried both the Env Touch and the Storm and have settled on the Storm, in spite of the increased cost of accessing the internet et al and losing VCast Video in the process. The main reason is that the browser software on every phone seems to have its bugs. The Voyager crashed all the time since the firmware updates in October. That drove me nuts. The Dare provided its own bug, acknowledged by LG, in that the return key on the virtual keyboard gets disabled when using the internet. The Versa has problems downloading certain web pages fully (You’ll get a partial page). The Env Touch simply starts going bonkers when encountering certain pages (particularly pages that dig down into the site). ALL of the Blackberry browsers prior to the Storm wouldn’t go to certain websites and that includes Opera browsers on Blackberry. The Storm has been the first phone that goes to every site I usually go to without crashing. I don’t actually need all of the capability of a Smartphone (I do have a Palm T/X with Wi-Fi and have all the document crunching ability I need with that.). BUT, I will take advantage of the Smartphone capability, including the ability to send out headshots and resumes to prospective producers and casting people when needed (I’m a professional actor). So, that’s my initial take on these phones. I have only spent months with the Voyager versus days with the other phones, but I can tell you that I wonder how some of these phones got through the design teams.

Do you still prefer the Blackberry Storm?? I’m getting ready to make the same decision between that and a Touch.

  3. Frankly, I don’t like blackberry model. As it looks so huge, so I’ll choose the lg env touch

  4. ted says:

im about to decide between the env touch and storm too. i think im going to decide on the storm bc of the interface and capabilities

So here’s the deal. I highly recommend going for the LG EnV Touch rather than the Blackberry Storm. Just a few hours before posting this, I was on my Blackberry writing an earlier post on this same website about how you should choose the EnV touch. The storm either has a mind of its own, or it was just doing what it usually does, and it for some reason froze and went back a page, so I had lost the in-detail description I was writing on why the Touch surpasses the Storm. I thought it ironic that I was using the storm to write a post saying you shouldn’t use the storm, but just as I thought that, the inevitable happened and I ended up having to rewrite this whole thing. I am now on a more reliable source.. a laptop.

Anyways.. back to the debate. Here’s a very detailed description of my opinion of the Storm: I have had the storm for about a month now and it is not the phone i expected it to be. At first I loved it, but it was all hype because I had never had a smartphone before. The phone is very slow and laggy. Just typing messages on the phone, you need to wait for the letters to catch up with what you are writing.. especially if you are a fast texter. Now, on the web browser its a whole new type of slow. With every word you type, you have to wait about a second or two for the letters to fully appear. The phone freezes every so often. Much more often than you’de expect and you’de either have to wait for it to catch up to itself, or you have to turn the phone off altogether (sometimes resorting to pulling the battery out). The design of the phone is not too bad, but i found out that the buttons at the bottom seem as though they can be popped out with an accidental slip of a fingernail. they’re not very sturdy. I also very often find myself having to erase a word during a text message because the letter I expected to press is not the letter that showed up on the screen. In other words, the buttons are a little crammed, especially on the full sideways keyboard. The sensitivity on the phone is nice, but all that glory is diminished by its lag and slowness. Just unlocking the phone takes more than 2 seconds every time. The longer the phone is kept on lock, it seems the longer it takes to unlock it (not of course on a length scale). The things i do like are that the design is pretty nice and the style of the menu is decent, but theres no way that i found to put a wallpaper on the phone when it’s turned sideways (not a big deal). I do also like how you have to push in the screen to push the button, but again, thats not something thats needed, just nice to be able to highlight something before you press it. but since the screen itself is a button, it leaves quite a bit of room for dust and dirt to get in the cracks between the screen and the phone frame. you can actually move the screen around a little bit which i found kind of odd. the camera is nice, but I’ve heard that the colors are more vibrant on the EnV Touch.

So, I’m actually going to give my Storm to my dad and get the LG EnV Touch for myself because he needs a phone and I need a new one. According to reviews, such as CNET, the LG EnV Touch is supposedly one of the best phones on the market from Verizon, so if you’re debating between the Touch and the Storm, I say Touch all the way. Hope this helped. any more questions you have about the storm just let me know. i pretty much know all about it right now, and i doubt i covered everything.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. I’m also considering both the Touch the Storm, and you provided excellent information to help with that decision.

Yea its so hard to make tht kind of desicion wen ur spending all the money. I do love all the apps and stuff for the blackberry lik the myxer and app world. Well idk bout the decison just want to kno how fast is the internet with the env touch 2?

  8. env touch 2? when it will come to verizon

  9. Michael says:

Well i have had the env touch for about 6 months now. I am on my 5th one, with various problems. Ranging from EMS failing internet crashing completly and picking up other phone calls. I have also had multiple software issues with the device, env touch well maybe you will be one of the lucky ones and have no issues with the phone. As far as the internet goes i have used the storm side by side with my touch and the internet loads much faster on the storm. i have not owned the storm so unfortunatly this is what information i have to offer, sorry if it is mostly negative but again it’s my experience!!!!

  10. cody says:

I am also debating which one I should pick. I am using a blackberry curve right now, but the extra money each month to me isn’t worth it. And I really don’t use most of the smart phone abilities except for the internet browsing. I am probably going to go with the env touch just for the fact that I text more and can’t really afford the extra 30 a month for a smartphone that I don’t even use as a smartphone.

I currently have the blackberry storm and i am due for an upgrade i heard that the storm 2 was much better because the storm i have now freezes often the internet is very slow and the buttons at the bottom of the phone hardly ever work i have to hit the phone several times just to get one of the buttons to work and it’s also kinda too big especially for a female and then the camera works very well takes great pictures but it stopped working a few months ago and i dont kno why? i did love the phone at first and i especially loved that i could play music on it and make the music my ringtone but all the things that go wrong with the phone has just caused me to be annoyed and frustrated so im kinda afraid to buy the storm 2 so i was also looking at the lg env touch but i want to make sure i can take good pics, listen to my music, browse the web (im the google queen lol), and receive all my e-mails through my personal e-mail account so does anyone know if i can do all these things on the env touch? and is it touch screen cuz i love that the storm is touch screen
