Now it’s official, Verizon today announces it has began to send a software update for the Droid android phone over the air. The new software AP:ESD56/BP:C_01.3E.01P update offers numerous improvements, including:
New verizon phones 2009 -Verizon Motorola Droid cell phone photos:
_ OS stability is improved.
_ Battery life is improved.
_ Camera auto focus functionality is improved, and time between
shots is reduced.
_ Enhancements for three-way calling.
_ Audio for incoming calls is improved.
_ When receiving a call on call waiting, the speakerphone now
remains on.
_ Bluetooth® functionality is improved; background echo is eliminated.
_ Improved Bluetooth phone book transfer of contacts to in-vehicle
Bluetooth solutions.
_ After closing a GPS application, the GPS icon will now automatically
be removed from the notification panel
_ Users can now receive SMS and MMS messages after an EMS
message is received.
_SMS and MMS may now be sent to seven-digit addresses.
_ Google contact merging has been updated to accommodate
seven-digit numbers.
_ Visual Voice Mail notices now arrive instantaneously.
_ he corporate calendar widget user interface is updated.
It doesn’t mean all the update will be available at the same time, they will be rolled out in phases, and more will begin to receive the update link in the next week.
