Subscribe Feed (RSS)The highly-awaited Motorola Droid is a huge sideways slider, it is expected to be announced on October 28th by Verizon as its first Android phone. The Droid phone is boasted as the iphone killer, of course, it is not unjusticed.
The device comes with a large touchscreen witha 3.7-inch WVGA display and full QWERTY keyboard, it is It is based on a 550MHz processor, which is a slight improvement over what current Android handsets are running.. It’s 2.4 x 4.6 x .5 inches in size and weighs six ounces. That’s relatively heavy, but slim. Its color will be “licorice w/brown sugar accents.” In addtion, the device has an unusually high-resolution, 3.7″ 480×854 touch screen; the iPhone’s touch screen is only 320×480 resolution.

I’m the old user for Iphone 3G, Personally, I’m kinda tired of the iphone’s rounded look, i really like the edgy angular thing that the droid has, the zune hd does the angular look the best but the droid isn’t bad either. You may say the iphone is still a little more attractive, the reason is you may think the iphone is equiped with clean backside and lack of branding, but they are two different model in design. I am not a fan of the gold accents, but overall I don’t think the motorola Droid is as ugly as some people are mentioning. As for the phone’s price, there hasn’t been words on it so far. I really hope it will be $199 or less (even if it’s after a $100 mail in rebate), but this phone seems to have a lot of pieces to it and i could see them charging more than that.

The droid is most definately a better phone. i dont like how rounded the iPhone is, and i really dont like the virtual keyboard. the letters are too close together, and i often type the words wrong. for someone who is in a hurry to get their messages done, it is not a good phone for them.
The droid however, has an excellent virtual keyboard, and a hardware keyboard that is also very handy. Its faster, i think its alot more visually appealing. i wouldnt “settle” for an iPhone EVER. if im going to spend that amount of money on my phone, i want one that appeals to me. and the iPhone just doesnt. in my opinion its played out. everyone talks about how great the iphone is, when its really nothing all that special.
i want that phone NOW 3 days later………………..I have that phone yay (KIDDING)
