Verizon motorola Sholes will be called Motorola Tao or Motorola Droid

A few days ago we were told that the androind phone -motorola sholes might hit verizon renamed Motorola Tao. While today according to BGR, it is said the Sholes and Tao will actually be called the Motorola Droid on Verizon. But all there is not condirmed by neither verizon or motorola. So this was the Sholes, then tao, now it’s the droid? WTF? And what happened motoblur?

In addtion, we have just heard that the Motorola Tao will be launched not next week but the week after. Verizon  Motorola Droid’s key features and Specs:

• 3.7″ screen
• 854×480 WVGA capacitive screen
• 5 megapixel camera
• ARM Cortex 500MHz CPU
• Facial recognition using the built-in camera (apparently you take a photo of someone and Google will pull in search results based on the image)
• Custom Motorola Interface/UI, no MOTOBLUR, no Verizon UI
• Available in black and titanium colors

Moreover, it is said  there will be a keyboard-less version that’s planned for 2010.
